Event Logistics

Dammerung's Summersiege Event will take place at the well-appointed Camp Garrison.  Parking is available at the campground, see the schedule for details.

Housing is available in the Forts, and there are several in- and out-of-character tenting areas in the immediate vincinity. For those staying in bunks or private rooms, beds are wooden bunk beds. Camping mattresses are provided. Participants must provide their own bedding.

We ask everyone who is sleeping in an in-character area to make a reasonable effort to keep their sleeping area in-character. Minimum expectations are as follows:

  • Keep phones and other modern-day devices and/or cords out of sight
  • Hide or cover obviously out-of-character bins or luggage
  • Cover obviously out-of-character bedding, for example with a plain, solid-colored flat-sheet

Climate controlled shower houses and bathrooms are available at the center of the campsite.

Food considerations: All participants should bring their own food. Food vendors selling individual good and meals may be present but we will no longer be offering large scale event catering for the purposes of health and safety.

Accessibility considerations: Stairs, rough terrain. trails are wide but mostly gravel.

General roleplay starts after the workshops wrap up and continuing through Sunday afternoon, with soft-stops on Friday and Saturday night.

You must have been vaccinated to attend this event. Proof must be provided at time of ticket sale.

Please note: Event passes are only available while supplies last, and are non-transferable and non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may re-sell your ticket with permission. Ticket Sales will close 3 days prior to the event. There will be no Ticket Sales at the door this season.

EVENT STORY

As food dwindles, we have become increasingly dependent on ransacking abandoned bannerfolk holds where jarred and pickled goods remain buried deep underground. Morale is low, and the caravan is regularly harried by hordes of Wudvas; no doubt driven to madness by the Giant Skrymir. Many of the scouts have died trying to return to us and news is scarce, only brought in by the newcomers that we’ve picked up along the way. Ahead lays a broken down holdfast that will allow us to safely take stand against the Skrymirs most feral minions- but it is all too clear that to separate from the caravan means risking being torn limb from limb. There is but one path for us now; forward, to Helleborg.

What does this mean for me?

As our story and season reaches a boiling point; assume it is practically impossible to fast travel or go back home, AND catch back up to the larger group- especially between games. If you’re new, we suggest either being from the larger caravan, or a newcomer picked up from a dying or abandoned hold, joining in with the existing players. There are some exceptions, ie. the Kraaling.

Larger Caravan?

It’s easy to forget, but many of the player characters are the wealthy and elite members of the society that’s left. It can be assumed that behind you, just off screen, there exists a larger group consisting of soldiers and followers who (generally) do not have nearly the food and resources that we show on screen. If you weren’t there at the last game, you can easily say you were among them, or that you barely managed to get back to the caravan before the hordes closed in.

Why wouldn’t we have them fighting in the Summer Siege?

You will! A lot of the strategy game will be about that, and it can be assumed that they are handling the outer perimeter, with the Wudvas fighting on screen being what manages to break through.
