About The Event

Event Information: Yule is meant to be a In-Character Community celebration. It offers a chance for our characters to look back on the past year of action and plan for the next twenty of Time-Jump! Yule is a great time to get RP closure for your characters arc, to set up your next Season storylines or to establish a basis for your next character. Due to the way the camp rental process works for this particular location, we apologize, but we must change how we typically do our sales process. Instead of selling individual areas ahead of time, we will be assigning cultures to cabin groups once we know how many people are in attendence. Per the story and location of the event, this is essentially a huge 'inn' (The Tross) where everyone is visiting from afar, and can be treated as such!  If you wish to bunk with someone in a different culture, please select the correct option on the ticket sale page.

Event Setting: Elsegarde, Hall of the Valravn.

The Yule Feast is being held in Elsegarde, a small series of homesteads that serve and function as food stores for the Tross. This is the home of the Trosskeepers- if such nomadic traders and profiteers can said to have one, and a great gathering has been called to honor the new ways and the old. There are debts to forgive, and amends to make. Even the enemies of the Tross have been offered a hand of friendship over yuletide, as a long winter is coming, and this will be the last opportunity for trading and diplomacy before the snows set in. Missing it is hardly an option, as you would face the frosts with few allies, and even fewer supplies.

It is said that Saegrimr, the now sole owner of the Trossen is a superstitious man. They say that he intends to honor the old ways, and open his halls to the Yuletide spirits, provided they observe the ancient rituals. They also say he intends to honor his Valnir heritage, and that this may become a blood soaked affair. Are these just rumors? Only time will tell. Guests will be expected to be courteous and uphold the peace of the Feast. Any who breaks the peace of the Thing will make an enemy of not just the Tross, but the Gods as well.

Drinking Responsibly:   Yule will be a BYOB event with responsible and subdued drinking allowed by 21+ participants. Even though drinking is permitted, over-intoxication will result in banning from future Feast events. Anyone who becomes a PROBLEM due to their intoxication will not be allowed back at any future Dammerung event.

  • Combat Anyone participating in combat of any sort should not be under the influence of alcohol. When leaving to go off on adventures, we will require that all participants prove their relative sobriety by submitting to sobriety tests.

Event Logistics

Dammerung's Yule Event will take place at the well-appointed Camp South Mountain (201 Cushion Peak Rd, Reinholds, PA 17569).  Parking is available at the campground, see the schedule for details.

Housing is available in standalone, heated cabins. Each cabin space has storage cubbies, while the beds are wooden bunk beds with camping mattresses. Participants must provide their own bedding. Semi private alcoves with storage are available in each cabin for an additional fee.  (These alcoves are shown at 1:56 in the linked video and will be curtained off.) Please view the following video for a more detailed breakdown of the cabins spaces. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2E3VnrRwDBs&t=1s&ab_channel=SouthMountainYMCA

Note: The statement the video makes about the camp having extra bedding does not apply to us. You must bring your own.

We ask everyone who is sleeping in an in-character area to make a reasonable effort to keep their sleeping area in-character. Minimum expectations are as follows:

  • Keep phones and other modern-day devices and/or cords out of sight
  • Hide or cover obviously out-of-character bins or luggage
  • Cover obviously out-of-character bedding, for example with a plain, solid-colored flat-sheet

Single-stall showers are available throughout the campsite.

Food considerations: All participants should bring their own food. Food vendors selling individual good and meals may be present but we will no longer be offering large scale event catering for the purposes of health and safety.

Accessibility considerations: Stairs, rough terrain. trails are wide but mostly gravel. There is heating throughout the site, but you will need to walk between buildings in the cold.

General roleplay starts after the workshops wrap up and continuing through Sunday afternoon, with soft-stops on Friday and Saturday night.

You must have been vaccinated to attend this event. Proof must be provided at time of ticket sale.

Please note: Yule Event passes are only available while supplies last, and are non-transferable and non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may re-sell your ticket with permission. Ticket Sales will close 3 days prior to the event. There will be no Ticket Sales at the door this season.
